BSW Orientation Information BSW New Student Orientation Students accepted to the Indianapolis program are to attend an orientation session for new students in Indianapolis before their first semester in the program. At this meeting you will meet some of your professors and representatives of several groups which support the School’s activities: Association of BSW Students, African American IUSSW Student Association, Association of Black Social Workers, the Latino Social Workers/Human Services Providers Network, the Gay/Lesbian Bisexual Organization, and the Alumni Office.
BSW Senior Orientation Senior orientation occurs during the first week of class of the fall semester. Orientation includes campus tour, senior practicum orientation, and dissemination of information related to both traditional and online classes.
BSW Junior Field Orientation Junior students beginning their first Social Work Pacticum I, S381, will have orientation the first week of classes (January) of the Spring semester. Orientation includes training in writing a practicum learning plan, understanding the expectations of field, and an overview of the classroom/seminar component of the course.
