Dr. Khadija Khaja is appointed to CSWE's Council on External Relations June 19, 2008 – Dr. Khadija Khaja has been appointed to the Council on Social Work Education’s Council on External Relations.
The council is designed to work with the Commission on Global Social Work Education, “with specific interface with other global organizations such as the International Association of Schools of Social Work and the International Federation of Social Workers as well as the International Committees of BPD and NADD,” Dr. Ira Colby, president of CSWE, said in a letter announcing the appointment.
Dr. Khaja, an assistant professor at the Indiana University School of Social Work, was named full-time faculty “Newcomer Outstanding Woman Leader” in March as part of the 2008 Women’s History Month Leadership Awards on the IUPUI campus.
Her appointment is for three years.
